Billing & Insurance

At this time, Lark and Lantern Therapies is not in-network with any insurance companies and accepts private pay only. We will gladly provide a superbill upon request, which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

Referrals

We accept referral from physicians, educators, and other specialists. Should a client require instrumental evaluations to support therapeutic interventions, they will be referred to the appropriate specialist.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At this time, we do not accept any insurance. However, a Superbill can be provided to support insurance reimbursement and we are happy to help you navigate this process.

  • We accept cash, check, or credit card payments. We conveniently offer payments through our patient portal. Payment is due prior to each session.

  • Services are provided in patient homes, via telehealth, or at a specialized location chosen by the clinician.

  • Client locations outside of a specific areas will incur minor travel fee.

  • Regular attendance is required to support therapeutic progress your speech therapy goals. If you need to cancel appointments for a known absence (e.g., travel, vacation, or other planned event), please inform your therapist at least 7 days prior to the scheduled appointment.

    If you need to cancel your appointment due to a sudden or unforeseen absence (e.g., illness), patients and families are asked to do so at least 24 hours in advance. We do allow 1 last minute cancellation (12 hours in advance) per semester without consequence. If you fail to cancel appointments as described, you will be billed the full amount of the session.

  • If you miss a scheduled session without informing your clinician, you will be billed the full amount for the session. We do, however, understand that emergencies happen and are happy to discuss unique situations with you.

  • You do not need a referral to be seen and evaluated, however your insurance company may require it for reimbursement purposes.

  • We work with clients from birth to 100, depending on their unique needs.

  • The frequency of speech therapy sessions will be specific to each client and will be discussed following a comprehensive evaluation.
